Phil's Log

What Arlen said.

Arlen Log 2

We were leaving our meeting and royalist drop pods began raining from the sky. Heavy-armored troopers began engaging us. I found a four-wheeler nearby and Phil was able to pop the lock and hot wire it. I need to learn that skill. There’s no way it won’t come in handy. So, I jumped on and got us out of there. Almost. Then a drop pod landed on top of us and sent shrapnel through the engine of the four-wheeler and sent us flying. As we were picking ourselves up, we were engaged by two of the troopers. Keeping in line with most of my life and, again, proving that the gods hate me, my blaster malfunctioned and blew up. This is why I do not like leaving my ship.
I attempted to hide and sneak away and snuck right in to the other half of the royalist platoon. So, of course, I screamed and ran away, again. I dove in to a pile of trash and hid.
By some miracle and a lot of help from Jedi Master Fo, we escaped. I found a sewer grate and got us out of there and into the palace. We came up from the sewer in to the wine cellar. Of course, I grabbed a drink.
Turns out the royalist troopers were actually replicants in royalist armor.
We made our way to the throne room and found the king, along with all of his guards, dead. The king was pinned to his throne by an activated lightsaber with a red blade. We took the saber and left, looking for my ship.
We found the ship and escaped, picking up some stragglers on the way. I even got paid. 15k to take them to Corasceant. Deal.

The dream...

While in a state of sensory deprivation, our hero began the adventure of his life! Blood, Chaos, and Ruin as far as the eye could see. Suddenly awake upon the floor of a cave. Our brave bounty hunter realized he’d been hunted. Cornered like a wounded animal, he bravely slunk his way to the front of the cave to face the fowl felons approaching. With freedom to gain and nothing to loose, he dispatched the dastardly desperadoes using the only weapon in his arsenal, a Light Saber! Then just as freedom was within his grasp, he gazed upon a gaping hole where his blackened heart used to be. Looking up into the face of his new partner, Lotan, he awoke and wondered…Where am i???

Todo Station

There was a portion I neglected to mention previously. Our visit to Todo Station was…harrowing. As far as I could tell, people were kept as prisoners under the jurisdiction of a strangely powerful man, for no crime but being alive (more alive than the others around them). This power they call “the force” seems to be a blessing and a curse, it brings power and understanding, but apparently discrimination and segregation also.

It was strange to me that the Jedi so freely cooperate, if not participate, with these practices that take place at Todo Station. Surely if they truly value life they must also value freedom (which gives meaning to life, does it not?).

Another confusing interaction with the Jedi, but I will avoid judging them by my first impression of them. They still may lead me to the things I seek.

On a side note… This Twi’lek’s pockets seem bottomless.

Saving Varis's Family
Stacy's point of view.

After completing my mission and causing a civil war to break out, I agreed to go with Varis to her home planet and save her family, who were caught in a civil war.

To get to the planet, I overpaid a pilot to fly us to the city. He got shot down, he died.

We walked for a while until we found a rebel base in the woods. One of the pilots was willing to pay us to help him fly into the city, by arming the guns on the back of the ship. Upon landing, we were in the middle of a street shot out. Varis and I helped kill the Royalist.

After the fight, we found out we had helped the group led by Varis’s brother. He showed us to the rebel base. This is where we met a creature by the name of Nabot. He said some unknown force drew him to that planet, and he was assured that he was destined to write a story about either Varis or I, I choose Varis. Regardless, he had a ship, knowledge of the safe smuggler paths and would give us a ride.

As we left the rebel base, and headed to the jungle to get Nabot’s ship, it became apparent that he had no skill in stealth, but knew how to handle himself. He knocked down a wall by leaning on it, which revealed an outpost of 4 Royalist. He was able to distract 3 of them, so I was able to easily come in and kill two, while Varis killed the other two.

We came to a building with a balcony, that would help us to leave the city, but it was filled with Royalist. Nabot, walked in the front door, Varis jumped to the top floor, I sneaked into the front door to put a couple down, then left and went in the back way to head to the top. Nabot was able to stun a couple before being knocked out himself. Varis took care of the guy on the third floor, and then she and I dropped to the 2nd floor to take out 4 more guys. He woke up Nabot and left the city.

As we walked through the jungle to Nabot’s ship, we came across an ambush party of Royalist, about 700 or so, we left them alone and watched from a distance as they blew up a rebel tank. Further into the woods, a ship was able to spot Nabot and Varis as it flew by. As it took time to swing around and come back, Nabot and Varis continued to head to Nabot’s ship, but I stayed back and climbed a tree. Once the scanner ship came back, I jumped onto it from the tree, climbed to the back turret, shot the guy inside, climbed in, the co pilot shot such a horrible shot at me that it bounced around in the ship until it killed the pilot, I went up to the cockpit, fought with the co pilot, making the ship crash, he died, I was dazed for a round. At this point, Nabot and Varis had gotten to the ship and where on the way back. They picked me up on the way to the city.

Upon reaching the city again, we parked a short distance from Varis’s families house. Upon going inside we met an unexpected person who had an unexpected question, and then yadda yadda yadda, we found the location of Varis’s family.

At this point, Nabot took a vacation to the White Room, and his co lilot Thodo decided to help us. Varis’s family was with other refugees in a cave. Upon landing close to the area, it was apparent we were not alone. We ran to the cave to beat 15 troops on there way to kill/capture the refugees. I left the cave, and attacked some in the jungle, while Thodo sniped them from the caves mouth, and Varis finished them off once they made it to the cave.

Upon the enemy leaving, we decided it was time for me and Varis to part ways for now. She had a light saber to deliver, and I had refugees to take care of.

Did not get paid!

Walked around in circles… found a cool speeder thing. Stole woman’s clothes… wore them. Read a big book on flying a speeder thing… flew a speeder thing. Two dudes and the speeder thing… BOOM! BIG BOOM! Dudes are dead. I went for another swim in the river. Told some creepy Jedi guy that his friend exploded. Went on a hike looking for somebody… creepy dude leads the way. Did not get paid today… Eyes on some cool shiney rocks.

Killing Humans

Miss Varis’ has offered to show me the home of her masters. This “temple” seems like it will be an interesting place. However, there’s a job to be done first.

The refugees were no problem to find, but extracting them from hiding was not as easy as I had hoped. At least 15 of these human soldiers, I believe they were referred to as Royalists, intended to kill those we had come to save. Dealing with any one would have been easier than any Ursmal hunt I’ve experienced in the past, but their numbers were great. If it had not been for MIss Varis’ skill with her blade, there’s no doubt in my mind that we all would have perished. Nevertheless, victory was achieved.

I felt nothing killing these men, but on the trip to the temple I spoke with Varis on this topic. Gata had said that the preservation of life was most important, but these Jedi seems to have slightly different practices.

Meeting Vouda Kaas was…interesting. He is a strange creature, but was capable of opening my eyes to something I had only noticed vaguely in the past. These Jedi may be the people I was searching for. More evaluation is needed.

Arlen Log 1

While we walked around Coin, looking for a buyer for the medical goods we acquired, I spoke to Ryon about joining my crew. I am looking to distance myself from the Hutts as no one who works for them ends up with a beneficial retirement plan. Ryon agreed, also saying he was looking at starting a mercenary company.

Met with “Korben” to sell off the medical gear. Got 15500 for the goods, split it with to Ryon.

Met two Jedi in the bar. They are looking for Varis. Wanted to hire us to fly them around and help them look. Bartered their price up to 5k for each of us.

After speaking with the Jedi we (all of us) went ship hunting. We (the group) all pitched in and bought a new (used) ship. Corellian Freighter

Flew to the space station Darknon Station, looking for Stacey and Varis. It is a crap hole filled with vagrants and homeless.

Watched Phil collect information from the security guard. He opened with “A wookee, a human and a red Twi’lek walk in to a bar… I don’t have a joke, where’s the red Twi’lek?” (quote of the week)
HAH! And that is why I let him do the talking.

The guard was as helpful as he could be… I think.

Went to the bar recommended by the security guard. After getting a couple of drinks and talking to the bartender, we got in contact with a rodian who pointed us toward planetside. Everyone is telling us they crashed their ship into a canyon wall. Phil and I think this is likely not the case, but it’s a place to start.

We got some permits to land in the government control area, Phil blasted the miscreant kids (stun) but he did seem to have a good time doing it. I approve. And then he shot the security guard. Also with stun. Not sure why he did that, but whatever.

Session 4
Peace Negotiations

The party met Lady Ice who greeted them and took them to meet General Melodia Farn.

Varis and Stacy formed a tight bond of friendship, with Varis looking up to Stacy as a mentor in the absence of Jedi Master Gosu.

Phil spent the majority of this mission recovering from his wounds in a bacta tank in the med station.

Arlen was invited on a hunting trip by a replicant named Miles. He and one of Horace’s body guards, Ryon, accepted. However, this did not go as expected as Miles – and all of his friends, suspected Arlen and Ryon of a plot to assassinate General Farn. Naturally, both Ryon and Arlen knew nothing of the plot but that didn’t matter. Gyon and Arlen had to kill Miles and his crew and then make their way across the desert for a day and a half before they were picked up by one of Crowne’s Air Marshals. The Air Marshal took them back to Gold City.

Back at the Black Friar Station, Stacy carried out her mission of assassinating General Farn. She did this by poisoning the general with an assist from the Base’s head cook (who was also under the employ of the Hutt Cartel). This caused the entire station to devolve into chaos, as there were two sides to the Replicant Insurgency: One that wanted peace, and the other that wanted to continue the fight.

Stacy and Varis were able to fight their way through the base until they made it to the docking bay where Jimmy Smith and Par met them and flew them back to Gold City (Jim and Par were also under the employ of Caa’Bot the Hutt and had been sent to pick the assassin up).
